Last time I posted, I posted some bts shots from a recent shoot with Camilla Felgate! I’m so happy to say that they became published in American magazine Elegant! This is my first ever publication so it was a huge achievement for me and I was completely buzzing! Here’s the final images and the mag!! 😁😁😁

Urban themes

Fun shoot with Photographer Camilla Felgate and Sophie Burton at Jadore models manchester! It was a fun urban themed shoot! Final pics coming soons! X

BSG charity night!

Tonight I did a charity event at Bsg academy school in Birkenshaw, it was really fun! Great networking event as I met lots of lovely new people and potential clients, I’ve also gained a few bookings from it so that’s always good! I got to show off my new banner stand from aura print too! Which I love!! I also did a Christmas makeup demo for the shoppers who were there! Xxx

Asian bridal!

I’ve really wanted to update my
Portfolio recently, especially in Bridal! I’ve neglected my blog a bit because I’ve been so busy with Uni work and also trying to get lots of testing done to add some new work to my portfolio! Today we worked on an Asian bridal shoot, my model was the wonderful Nazia, hair by Carmel Reynolds and Nicole Jopek photography! I would loveeeeee to get in to this part of the industry, the makeup is so fun and the jewellery and wedding outfits are so beautiful! Was such a fun day and I can wait for the final images! Here’s a few pics from today 🙂 xxx

Beauty shoot

Last week I worked on an incredible beauty shoot with the talented Nicole Jopek! She’s such a perfectionist and her final images always turn out amazing. The makeup look we went for was one of dewy skin and glossy lips, the model Kate Thomas already had the most incredible thick long glossy hair! So it wasn’t too hard to make it look glam! Here’s a look at one of the final images! I will post the rest once I get them 🙂 Laura xx

Final images!

I got the final images through from the shoot with amazing photographer Leah Henson! I can’t believe how quickly she edited I got the images back the same night! She really is amazing! Also the model Claudia Graves was perfect to work with and as always working with beautiful models make my job so much easier. The shoot was so much fun and I’m so glad I’ve got some more lovely images to add to my portfolio! Here’s a few of the final images, hope you all like 🙂 Xx L xX

Hair practice!

I’ve been practicing my hair looks as I’ve just booked some bridal hair lessons in up do’s and blow drys! I’m so excited and can’t wait to offer my bridal clients full packages in makeup & hair! Also for one of our Uni projects we have to do a look using postiche hair pieces so once I got my model sorted I got her to come round so I could practice my look! It was my first attempt at this up do properly and it still needs a lot of work! Here’s before the extensions, with them in and the final up do! Hopefully with practice I can get it right soon xx

Behind the scenes!

Today I did a fun shoot with Leah Henson
Photography and model Claudia Graves! The makeup theme was dewy skin natural eyes and a strong lip! The shooting style was very American Apparel, was such a fun day and the photographer and the model were both fab! Can’t wait to get the final images but for now here’s a few BTS shots! X

Beautiful bride!

Here’s the makeup I did on the gorgeous bride today! I used individual lashes to complete this as i just think they look so much nicer and more natural for a bride! – as her skin was quite dehydrated I used Temple Spa cleanser in be gone, toner and skin truffle to really give the skin some moisture and a good clean base for me to work on – I then used Illamasqua hydra Veil as it’s one of my favourite primers to use on all my brides! I can’t wait to see her professional pics! Working on brides is one of the best jobs in the world! Such a happy day and a great vibe all round! XxLxX

121 makeup!

Recently I’ve had lots of interest in 121 makeup tutorials and master classes. I’m
Always up for new and exciting challenges within my makeup world so of course I jumped at the opportunity! Most recently I have done ones that have been so much fun and it’s definitely sometime I want to carry on with! I did one a few weeks ago to the staff at the holiday inn Wakefield, I did a draw and the person who won it got the make over – that class was all about simple makeups that the normal working busy mum can fit in to their normal daily routine! The girls were all so lovely and we had such a laugh! I got some great feedback on my feedback form which I was really happy about! ….. Today I did a 121 makeup session for a girl who wanted some basic tips on smokey eyes and simple contouring, I did one half of the face then she did the other half – I talked about little tips such as doing the eye makeup first and the importance of blending! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to do some more! Here’s a pic from today’s makeup 121! XxLxX
