Final images – colour pop!

I worked on a fashion editorial for huddersfield university student Stephanie Maguire! The make up look was fun and colourful! We shot at Victoria baths with photographer Robyn Berry! The baths were freeeeezing but we ended up with some really great images! Here’s a few

Some more creative practice!

I was completely messing around and ended up shoving a Load of random stuff on my face!! I just feel like doing this type of thing is the only way I’m
Going to find out what works for me creatively and what doesn’t!! I can’t learn from watching I have to physically do stuff to be able to understand! Although I don’t really like this idea it’s good to be able to analyse things and learn from them!

I’ve recently decided that I really want to add some up close beauty work to my portfolio. I’ve found that mine is mainly fashion which is great but I think it’s good to show versatility and have some more detailed work! I’ve booked a few tests with some photographers and now I just need to find a perfect model! Here’s some practice images I’ve been doing for a shoot coming soon x

Today I went to the seaside for a fashion editorial! We got such a lovely dayyyy and it went great!!! The images are for a Huddersfield University fashion student who’s doing a project based around Holly Fulton. She had some amazing pieces! Here’s some behind the scene images, can’t wait to get the final pics!

A few months ago I was employed as head makeup artist on a short low budget film called Annie! The film is a 10 minute long horror. We filmed yesterday over 15 hours. I got to do character makeup which is something completely different to my normal styles working in bridal and fashion. The character needed to be made up as a ghost/dead witch! I absolutely loved working on this and being head mua have me the flexibility to come
Up with my own designs and create the character I thought best suited. It was so much fun and too see my work on film camera was amazing! There were 2 other characters – a young girl and her mother. Because the scenes were based around them waking up in the night they didn’t need much makeup. It was more just ensuring they looked a little tired. Annie however required full Sfx makeup and a wig! Which was great as I hadn’t done any wig work since last year. Here’s a quick peak at Annie!

Bridal work is getting busy and I’ve been doing lots of trials for weddings coming up in the spring and summer time! I love doing bridal work. It’s such a lovely occasion and I’m so happy when brides choose me to be their makeup artist and hair stylist because it’s such an important part of their day! I’m holding off bringing my website live until I have some images back from my recent weddings
For now here’s a look at some of the gorgeous brides and bridal trials I have done! Looking forward to each and every wedding coming up! 😀

My website is slowly but surely coming together! I haven’t wanted to make it live until I am 100% happy with it and I think it’s perfect! Which is hard because I’m so impatient! I’ve done the majority of it myself but have decided to get an expert on board to give me a little extra help and tweak the bits that still need sorting! Here’s a peak of my website coming soon 😀

Final images!

My last posts promised final images from recent shoots I’ve done – including some of the now live finalist in the Voice Uk Georgia Harrup! I have also included some new portfolio images! Over the past few months Uni has mainly been focused around portfolio building and self promotion- so I have been working really hard to sort out my portfolio and ensure all the images in it are relevant and are images I am proud of, although I only have to hand 5 images in for my Uni assignment, I’m hoping to have a lot more fully edited images by then so I can choose them carefully and also add them to my personal portfolio – here’s a few images from recent shoots!

The voice!

The voice is back and my friend Georgia Harrup has made it through the blind auditions! We recently did some new promo shots for her! She has a real vintage theme in her style and her song choices so we kept that theme throughout the shoot! Here’s one of the images from the shoot! Classic red lip and black liner! Love this look, I also went for vintage rolls in the hair! There are some other shots with 50’s waves coming soon, wonderful photography by Annia Harrup!

More recent work!

I’ve recently been a little slack with my posts over the Xmas period! I’m trying to get back up to date with it all seen as we are well in to the new year! I’ve been up to lots of different stuff and got some lovely new images for my portfolio! I’ve also worked on 2 look books for SS14! One for Me and Thee clothing and one for kendelle clothing! This is something I love to do as I love the fashion side of makeup artistry! It’s super fun and you always get to meet the most beautiful models that leave you completely in awe! Here’s a bit of my recent work and what I’ve been up too! Some are BTS shots as I’m still waiting for final images
